I like the food here, except the sweet and sour chicken because it is not all blended together with the vegetables and the chicken is tough. My family and I often go here because we like the buffet style and the prices. The staff is always very polite too

Plentiful food at very good prices. I have takeout regularly from Hunan. I don't have a high spice tolerance, and none of the meals I've had were too spicy, and I've eaten all of the chicken variations.

Our favorite place for Chinese food! It's a small buffet but they have pot stickers and egg foo young! Yummy!!

It's Hunan's Chinese restaurant. Order Really good buffet, all you can eat or order fresh off the menu. We keep going back. Always will. Fresh good selection. Good takeout food also.

I love this place. Food is always good and the service is amazing. The prices are amazing for a buffet. They always have a good variety of food and always quick to take your plate out of your way so the table doesn't get crowded. This is my favorite Chineese buffet.

Food was warm, not real hot. They were drying off silverware in front of customers.. we had the buffet.

With Covid19 upon us, they're only doing take out, and they are amazing. Quick, delicious food made with the freshest ingredients and they're incredibly friendly.

Good food, decent price for the buffet. If you get there between 11 and 1 the food is fresh. Very pleasant waitstaff.

I don't normally like buffets but this one is pretty good. Actually made with plenty of meat and freshly cooked. Gone twice now. Both time good. It's not a 5 star restaurant but compared to other Chinese buffets. It's one of the best.

My husband enjoyed it. The fried zucchini was good. Everything was hot and fresh. 18.00 for 2 people lunch no drinks. So price was not bad.not a big buffet ,but there was enough to have choices.

Been here before and for the most part enjoyed the food. However, today it was horrible. Couldn’t stomach half of the items cooked. There were only three people in the establishment “eating” and never received a refill of water. The lady was too busy watching her phone instead of serving the customers. Attempted to get her attention and nothing. Sorry, I will not be coming back.

Hunan is a great Buffett for Chinese Food

We have been eating at Hunan for years stopping almost every time we travel to Reno or home. We used to love the good tasting food and friendly attentive service. Last three times we visited we have been very disappointed in the taste of our favorite dishes and service. This had been within the past six months so it's not just a short term adjustment but over a period of time now. Last night on our way home we decided to try one more time. Sadly i join many friends who will stop eating at this restaurant. Not only was every dish lukewarm but didn't even come close to tasting like it used to. The coconut shrimp was tart, butter shrimp no flavor at all, teriyaki chicken stick unflavored and dried out, almond chicken taste of spoiled flavor, etc. And our favorite employees employees acted like they didn't even want to be there. I hope they read this and go back to their old ways... raise the price not lower the quality to get us back.

Best Buffet in Carson Valley

Food was OK, not as good as it used to be. They won't honor their prices that are advertised online, claimed it was an old menu. Price has almost doubled for lunch buffet. Skip eating here, there are much better chineese restraints around with more reasonable prices.

I love Hunan Chinese restaurant! I have been eating here since they opened way back in 1999 and haven't had a bad experience yet. It is an all you can eat buffet... But they have perfected keeping all the food fresh. If your looking for good Chinese food in Gardnerville, look no further.

Food and service very good with reasonable prices. I have some special dietary needs, which they graciously completed. My food, ordered from the menu, tasted very good. My girlfriend, who has high standards, liked the buffet No MSG. Enjoyable, healthy experience! The hostess was gracious and attentive.
